Šaban Bajramović
Serbian Roma — Niš
Style: Balkan Romani brass & wedding
The great voice of Serbian Romani song. Šaban composed and sang in Romani and Serbian — urban, wounded, later sampled.
Šaban Bajramović (1936–2008), Niš. A popular Romani voice of Yugoslavia, not a brass primás. The songs outlived the rooms.
Library of Congress Homegrown, 16 May 2019: Eva Salina and Peter Stan played that Serbian Roma song-world in Washington. Peter “Perica” Stan is a Serbian/Romanian Roma accordionist. Eva Salina is an American interpreter of Vida Pavlović and of Šaban — a neighbour of this family, not a member.
